Vinyasa is a style of yoga where movement is synchronized with breath, linking poses together in a flowing sequence. The word "vinyasa" can also refer to the specific transition between poses, often involving a series like plank, chaturanga, upward-facing dog, & downward-facing dog

Vinyasa Style Yoga Classes

Vinyasa Flow Foundations

Vinyasa Flow Foundations offers a solid introduction to Vinyasa Flow, focusing on the essential poses while building strength and flexibility at a steady, approachable pace. With a strong emphasis on alignment and breathwork, the instructor provides clear guidance and modifications tailored to your body’s needs. While perfect for beginners, this class also offers experienced practitioners a chance to revisit fundamental principles and deepen their practice. Vinyasa Flow Foundations prepares you to explore other classes and styles at the studio with confidence.

Vinyasa Flow

In Vinyasa Flow, breath and movement connect in a dynamic flow. *Vinyasa* translates to "connection" in Sanskrit, symbolizing the harmony between poses (asanas) and breath (pranayama). These classes help yogis build heat, deepen their connection to body and breath, and explore their personal edge in each pose. Suitable for all levels, *Vinyasa Flow* offers a balanced blend of strength, flexibility, and mindfulness.

Slow Burn

Slow Burn is a heated 45-minute class that focuses on building strength, stability, and internal heat through slow, controlled sequences and static holds. This class incorporates elements of Hot Power Vinyasa Flow at a slower pace, making it ideal for those who want to challenge themselves without the rapid flow. Expect a steady burn that builds heat from within while deepening your practice.

Gentle Vinyasa Flow

Gentle Vinyasa Flow offers a grounding practice that blends gentle movement, flexibility, and mindful breathwork. This class introduces elements of Vinyasa Flow at a slower pace, with longer holds and ample time to stretch. The instructor provides modifications for all levels, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced yogis. Whether you’re easing into flow or seeking a slower, more intentional practice, *Gentle Vinyasa Flow* provides the perfect balance of alignment, breath, and relaxation.

Hot Power Vinyasa Flow

Hot Power Vinyasa Flow is a heated class designed to boost flexibility, circulation, and detoxification. The warmth allows for deeper stretches and greater freedom of movement. Expect a faster-paced flow with the potential for advanced postures, though modifications are always offered. The combination of heat and dynamic vinyasa sequences helps increase metabolism and blood flow. Some yoga experience is recommended, and hydration is key—bring plenty of water.

Non-Vinyasa Style Yoga Classes

In addition to Vinyasa Flow style-classes, we also offer a variety of other styles of Yoga. Read on to learn more about our Soulful Cardio Yoga class (Buti), Hot Hatha (26&2), and our slow and low-to-the-ground Yoga offerings (Muscle Release, Relaxation, Restorative, Yin).

Hot Buti Yoga

Buti is an Indian Maratji word that means "a cure that has been hidden or kept secret." Believing that the only true cure comes from within, the practice of buti helps people strip away the layers that hide this cure and bring about total transformation.

Buti yoga connects a variety of movement styles using anatomical placement and musicality. Moving from each asana to the next through primal movement, cardio dance, strength and conditioning, or deep abdominal conditioning letting the music guide your movements. This can be a high impact class.

Relaxation Yoga

Relaxation Yoga at Flex is designed to help quiet the mind and rejuvenate the body. This class blends elements of Restorative and Yin yoga, incorporating mindfulness, breathwork, and meditation. You’ll be guided through deep stretches and relaxation poses that encourage a state of calm and ease, allowing both mind and body to fully unwind.

26&2: Hot Hatha Yoga

This challenging series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises is designed to improve overall health and flexibility while increasing stamina and cardio vascular health. This asana practice has meditative and physical benefits and is done in a heated room for a detoxifying effect. Class is offered in a Hot room. All experience levels are welcome!

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is gentle, restful, and for some a healing yoga experience. It enables deep relaxation as you surrender to supported poses for longer periods of time with the help of props to completely support you. The pace is very relaxing and slow paced. Props, like blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps are used so that you are supported in your pose comfortably in such a way that you can completely relax and let go. These supported poses allow the nervous system to calm. These poses allow the mind to slow down, and the body to achieve deep, restorative rest.

Muscle Release

This class is for anyone with tight muscles looking for that extra stretch and release. We will offer longer holds (along with heat) to promote a deep stretch, tension release, muscle recovery, and improve flexibility. This class can be a supplement to any current movement practice or a way to being a yoga or exercise journey in a slow intentional way. Deep stretch paired with breath work will decrease stress and prepare you for the week ahead as you walk out feeling renewed. Offered Heated on Mondays.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow, meditative practice in a non-heated room that gives you space to turn inward and tune into the sensations of your mind and body. It targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones, by holding supported, seated and reclined postures for two to five minutes, or even longer. Staying in poses for longer helps to stretch those infrequently targeted connective tissues and teaches you to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts. Our Yin yoga classes are designed to accommodate all levels of practice, from those who have never practiced Yin Yoga before to seasoned Yin Yogis on a quest to deepen their practice.

Aerial Classes

Come learn to fly! Aerial Dress Code: Fitted leggings or yoga pants that cover the backs of your knees, as well as a short or long sleeve top that covers your armpits are recommended. Covering knees and armpits will offer the most comfort in aerial, especially those who are new. You may want to wear athletic pants that tie at the waist for security, or leggings under athletic shorts. No shoes, socks, jewelry, or glitter allowed in the silks. Long hair should be pulled back, so it doesn’t get caught in the silk or impair vision while upside down. Gloves are highly recommended for Lyra Hoop.

Our rigs are professionally installed and can withstand 500-1,000 lbs of force. A mat is required to be under participants at all times. No drops without teacher supervision and crash pad.

Aerial Hammock Flow
Level 3

Our Aerial Flow class creates a space for more challenging movements that use the silks to build strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Students will learn fun skills and tricks that can be combined into flows. Classes are structured with flexibility to allow modifications so students can tune the movements to their preferred level of challenge. This is an all levels class. There are not any prerequisites but Intro to Aerial and Aerial Foundations will help you prepare for this class!
